LIBERTY CARD
The Liberty Card cuts out the paperwork for business vehicles.
Managing a business vehicle or fleet can be a fiddly, time-consuming task, especially at tax time and when making GST reclaims. But a Liberty Card can help cut out the paperwork, saving time on administration and saving money on accountancy fees.
When used to pay for business vehicle expenses, the Liberty Card is much more effective than a credit card. The monthly invoice shows you what items have been purchased and the GST breakdown. So it’s easy to see exactly what the card has paid for, and easy to turn-around GST re-claims.
The Liberty Card can be tailored specifically to your business needs to either restrict or include payment for other travel related expenses, such as accommodation. You can even limit the card to purchasing a particular type of fuel, for example, diesel only.
What can a Liberty Card do?
- Pay for fuel at over 90% of service stations around Australia
- Pay for vehicle maintenance such as tyres, repairs or servicing, at over 15,000 motor industry outlets
- Pay for travel accommodation or car rental
- Capture odometer readings at fuel refills to help track efficiency and running costs of vehicle
- Provide a monthly itemised invoice, approved by the ATO as a tax invoice, which lists all purchased items and costs, with GST breakdown
- Provide Fringe Benefit Tax (FTB) and tax summaries quarterly and/or annually, by Operating Cost method or Statutory Formula – whichever suits your needs.
How much does it cost? The Liberty Card has no joining fees – just a 'once only' $8 charge for each card issued, which is charged to your account. After which a card fee of $1.25 per week applies, and is billed to your account monthly.
